We are seeking an entrepreneurial, hands-on Managing Director to lead the growth and development of a project-based industrial services business in Poland. This role is ideal for a commercially driven leader who combines strategic vision with the ability to execute, build teams, develop markets and drive business performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the organisation, establishing structures and accelerating growth across Poland and selected Eastern European markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Full operational and strategic management of the business.
- Responsibility for P&L, budgeting, business performance and growth.
- Building and developing the local organisation, leadership team and operational structures.
- Creating and executing a commercial strategy focused on business development and market expansion.
- Developing key customer relationships and driving sales activities.
- Recruiting, leading and developing both commercial and operational teams.
- Implementing processes, reporting structures and management systems to support sustainable growth.
- Leading organisational transformation and change initiatives.
- Collaborating closely with international stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Ensuring operational excellence across project execution, customer service and employee engagement
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role with full P&L responsibility.
- Track record of managing a business unit, subsidiary or similar organisation.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience developing sales organisations and new markets.
- Ability to combine strategic leadership with hands-on operational involvement.
- Experience within industrial services, industrial installation, plant engineering, maintenance, building materials, refractory, cement, lime or related sectors.
- Experience in business transformation, organisational development or company build-up environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop diverse teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, high energy level and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Fluent Polish and strong English and/or German communication skills.
