Deal Desk Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end deal process — from opportunity creation and quoting through approvals and contract completion — ensuring deals progress smoothly and close on time.

  • Review opportunities to ensure compliance with pricing guidelines, discount thresholds, and commercial policies.

  • Maintain accurate and complete deal data in Salesforce to support reliable bookings and forecasting.

  • Coordinate approvals with the appropriate stakeholders, ensuring timely decisions and proactively escalating issues that could delay deal closure.

  • Partner with Sales Representatives to provide guidance on pricing structures, commercial policies, and standard terms and conditions.

  • Develop a strong understanding of deal policies and approval workflows, becoming a trusted point of contact for the sales teams you support.

  • Support Sales enablement by helping teams understand deal processes, policies, and best practices.

  • Keep pricing guidelines, approval workflows, and contract templates accurate, up to date, and easy to use.

  • Monitor and report on key deal metrics, including cycle times, approval rates, and pricing compliance.

  • Identify recurring challenges and bottlenecks across the deal process and recommend practical improvements.

  • Contribute to process and systems improvement initiatives, including user acceptance testing (UAT) for Salesforce enhancements.

Must have:

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in Deal Desk, Deal Management, Sales Operations, Sales Support, or a similar commercial operations role.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce, including managing quoting, approvals, and deal-related processes.

  • Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders across the business.

  • Good understanding of standard commercial terms and conditions, with the ability to review contracts carefully and identify potential issues.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills — able to challenge or hold a position with Sales while maintaining positive and productive working relationships.

  • Sound commercial judgment and strong prioritization skills, with the confidence to make decisions, take ownership, and act proactively.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working under pressure and managing high volumes of activity during critical periods such as quarter-end
