Wrocław | Hybrid | Fixed-term contract

We are currently looking for a Financial Accountant with German to join the finance team of our international client in Wrocław.
This is an 18–24 month fixed-term contract offering an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience supporting a German business and working in a dynamic, international professional environment.
Your role
You will join an international finance team in Wrocław and support the German business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly IFRS management accounts for the German business.
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations and preparing accruals and prepayments.
- Supporting the preparation of annual financial statements in cooperation with external advisors.
- Supporting and coordinating external audits.
- Coordinating tax filings, statutory financial statement disclosures and tax/social security audits.
- Preparing and submitting local VAT returns and reports to the German Federal Bank.
- Analysing and documenting the tax treatment of employee benefits and payroll-related expenses.
- Preparing financial analysis and KPIs to support business decision-making.
- Supporting the Accounts Payable team with travel expenses and time-recording queries.
- Communicating with employees and local service providers in Germany.
- Working closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone with a strong accounting or finance background who is comfortable working independently in an international environment.
Your background:
- At least 3 years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally within a German or international organisation.
- A university degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Good knowledge of German tax regulations.
- Practical knowledge of IFRS will be a strong advantage.
- Experience working with an ERP system such as SAP Business ByDesign, SAP Concur or a similar system.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Languages:
- Fluent German – essential.
- Fluent English – essential.
