AI Automation Leader - Strategy & Transformation

 

This role sits at the intersection of technology, operations, and transformation, focused on identifying opportunities to leverage AI, intelligent automation, and digital solutions to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance service delivery. 

You will lead both strategy and execution, working closely with clients to embed scalable automation capabilities across functions such as Finance, HR, Procurement, and IT. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategy & Opportunity Identification 

  • Identify and shape AI and automation opportunities across business functions  

  • Define automation roadmaps aligned to GBS, Shared Services, and transformation programmes  

  • Assess current processes and identify automation and AI use cases  

Solution Design & Delivery 

  • Lead design and implementation of automation solutions, including:  

  • RPA (Robotic Process Automation)  

  • AI / ML driven workflows  

  • Intelligent document processing  

  • Ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned to business objectives  

Transformation & Value Realisation 

  • Drive cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and service optimisation through automation  

  • Build business cases and track ROI and realised benefits  

  • Support integration of automation into broader transformation initiatives  

Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Work closely with business, IT, and leadership teams  

  • Translate technical capabilities into clear business value propositions  

  • Act as a trusted advisor on automation strategy and AI adoption  

Capability Building 

  • Support development of automation frameworks, governance, and best practices  

  • Mentor teams and build internal and client-side capabilities  

  • Stay ahead of market trends in AI, automation, and digital transformation  

Requirements 

  • 10–15+ years’ experience in automation, AI, or digital transformation roles  

  • Strong experience with RPA tools (UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere or similar)  

  • Exposure to AI/ML, data analytics, or intelligent automation solutions  

  • Experience delivering automation programmes within GBS, Shared Services, or enterprise environments  

  • Proven track record delivering measurable cost savings or efficiency gains  

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
