Embedded Systems Team – FreeRTOS Developer
We are looking for a C++ Developer to join an experienced embedded software team working on connected devices and real-time systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing reliable and maintainable firmware for an embedded platform. You will work closely with software architects and other engineers, contributing to the design, implementation, testing, and continuous improvement of the software.
The position offers an opportunity to work with modern C++, real-time operating systems, multithreading, and embedded software development in a technically demanding environment.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and maintain application-level software using modern C++.
- Cooperate with software architects and requirements engineers to clarify requirements and define technical solutions.
- Design software components with reusability, maintainability, and testability in mind.
- Investigate and resolve issues identified during integration and system testing.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to discussions regarding software architecture and implementation.
- Analyze software defects and anomalies and implement appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with other members of the development team throughout the software development lifecycle.
What we expect
- Professional experience working on medium-sized software projects.
- Strong knowledge of C++17 or newer.
- Practical experience with FreeRTOS-based projects.
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
- Experience designing software for resource-constrained embedded systems.
- Solid understanding of multithreaded programming, inter-thread communication, and synchronization mechanisms in real-time operating systems.
- Experience using development and collaboration tools such as Git and Jira.
- Knowledge of modern CMake.
- Working knowledge of Python, particularly for maintaining tools used in code generation workflows.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly acquire new technical and domain knowledge.
Nice to have
- Experience developing software for Embedded Linux.
- Basic knowledge of digital electronics.
- Familiarity with hardware communication interfaces such as UART and CAN.
