Are you an experienced leader in corporate banking ready to take the next step in an international environment?

We are looking for a Branch Director in Spain who will lead business development, drive sales performance, and build strong client relationships on the Spanish market for a well-established Polish bank expanding its international corporate banking operations.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the growth of our corporate banking presence in Spain, manage a high-performing team, and represent the bank in a dynamic international setting while working closely with headquarters in Poland.

What you will be responsible for

  • Leading and developing the Branch sales team (trainings, performance reviews, promotions, salary actions, employment contracts)
  • Driving the execution of the Branch sales strategy and achieving ambitious business targets
  • Acquiring new corporate clients and expanding relationships with existing ones
  • Monitoring and analyzing sales performance and implementing actions to improve efficiency
  • Building and managing a high-quality loan portfolio supporting the bank’s growth objectives
  • Making credit decisions within assigned authority limits
  • Ensuring excellent customer service standards and strong client relationships
  • Managing operational costs related to Branch activities
  • Ensuring compliance with Spanish and Polish regulations as well as internal policies and audit procedures
  • Implementing risk management processes for Branch operations in Spain
  • Supporting marketing initiatives and brand visibility on the Spanish market
  • Representing the Branch externally before regulators, tax authorities, courts, and other institutions
  • Overseeing the implementation of AML and counter-terrorist financing procedures

What we are looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in corporate banking
  • 5+ years of experience managing international sales teams/structures in corporate banking
  • Experience with Polish and Spanish markets will be an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of banking products, policies, and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent analytical and credit assessment skills
  • Proven ability to deliver strong sales results
  • Experience in team leadership and people management
  • Fluent Spanish and English required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
  • Willingness to travel frequently
