Our Client, a dynamic and fast-growing global leader with headquarters in USA, is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Corporate Finance team. 

Senior GL Accountant | US GAAP

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who has strong knowledge of month-end close processes and accounting in an international environment.

In this role, you’ll work with US GAAP, statutory reporting, consolidation, audits and financial reporting. You’ll also have the opportunity to support new projects and process improvements as the company continues to grow.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly close process and make sure all closing activities are completed on time for US and international entities.
  • Coordinate the monthly financial reporting package, including the balance sheet and cash flow.
  • Prepare year-end financial statements and related notes.
  • Work with external auditors during the annual audit process.
  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support accounting policies and provide guidance on accounting treatment when needed.
  • Support audits and internal control activities.
  • Manage accounting activities and maintain the general ledger in NetSuite.
  • Manage and analyse different types of accruals, including commissions, legal and other accruals.
  • Handle fixed asset and lease accounting.
  • Analyse accounting data and prepare reports.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes while ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Provide supervision and support to accounting professionals in different locations.
  • Take part in various ad hoc accounting and business projects, including IPO readiness. 

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in public accounting and/or accounting within a multinational company.
  • Experience working with publicly traded companies is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of US GAAP, statutory reporting and consolidation.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and month-end close processes.
  • Interest in building and improving accounting processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an international team.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Good knowledge of accounting systems and technology.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce and MS Office or similar systems.
