QA Manual Tester
We are looking for an experienced QA Manual Tester to join an Agile software development environment. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing manual testing activities, ensuring that software changes meet defined quality standards and business requirements.
You will work closely with Product Owners, developers and other QA professionals to define test scenarios, acceptance criteria and test plans, as well as identify and manage defects throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
Your responsibilities
- Design and execute manual tests for web applications and REST APIs.
- Prepare and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test plans and other QA documentation.
- Perform different types of testing, including functional, regression and performance testing.
- Work with Product Owners and development teams to define clear and testable acceptance criteria.
- Support testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in defining test strategies and planning testing activities for new features and application changes.
- Identify, document and track defects, including performing initial investigation and triage.
- Analyse application logs to identify potential issues and support defect investigation.
- Provide test scenarios and requirements for automated and performance testing.
- Maintain QA metrics, test documentation and test environments.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, workshops and discussions related to product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure successful delivery.
- Continuously improve testing processes and share knowledge and best practices with the team.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of experience as a Manual QA Tester / Software Tester in an Agile software development environment.
- Strong knowledge of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience designing and executing manual tests for web applications and REST APIs.
- Experience with different testing types, particularly functional and regression testing.
- Good understanding of REST and HTTP protocols.
- Experience working with Agile delivery processes and tools such as Jira, Confluence and Git.
- Experience with test management tools such as qTest, Tricentis or Zephyr.
- Ability to analyse application logs and perform initial defect triage.
- Experience working with cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Familiarity with Agile/DevOps or DevSecOps software delivery practices.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage assigned activities and drive testing tasks to completion.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to continuously learn and share knowledge with others.
Nice to have
- ISTQB certification.
- Experience with SAFe or Scrum.
- Experience in performance testing.
- Knowledge of vulnerability scanning and application security testing, including SAST, DAST or MAST.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL.
- Experience creating process flow diagrams or UML diagrams.
- Experience improving testing or software delivery processes.
- Understanding of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) processes.
