We are looking for a Senior Valuation Controller to join our Valuation team within Product Control in Kraków.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that financial instruments held across our Global Markets business are accurately valued, controlled, and aligned with IFRS standards, Group policies, and relevant regulatory frameworks. You will partner closely with key trading and risk stakeholders to uphold rigorous valuation standards and streamline analytical processes.
Key Responsibilities

Valuation Governance & Control: Oversee and execute key valuation processes, including Independent Price Verification (IPV), Fair Value Adjustments (FVA), Prudent Valuation (PVA), and Fair Value Levelling (FVL).

Methodology & Models: Evaluate valuation model restrictions and recommendations; actively enhance internal control frameworks and valuation methodologies.

Financial Integrity: Collaborate with Business Financial Control and Core Product Control to ensure a consistent, unified view of P&L and Balance Sheet positions.

Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with Front Office, Market Risk Management, Quantitative Analytics, Operations, and IT.

Reporting & Governance: Coordinate the preparation and presentation of comprehensive Management Information (MI) for risk and valuation committees.

Process Improvement: Re-engineer and automate operational workflows to drive efficiency, scalability, and high service quality.
Requirements

Education: University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.

Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial instruments, valuation techniques, and market risk drivers.

Experience: Prior experience working with the Fair Value Framework / valuation control is a strong asset.

Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel is essential; working knowledge of VBA, SQL, or Access is highly advantageous.

Soft Skills: High analytical acumen, strong problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Qualifications: CFA or FRM qualification (completed or in progress) is a strong plus.
