Finance RTR Solution Lead | Remote
We are looking for an experienced RTR expert to lead the design and implementation of finance solutions within transformation programmes. This role focuses on the Record-to-Report area and involves close cooperation with finance leaders, technical teams, and data specialists to deliver effective and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and define functional requirements across RTR processes such as general ledger, closing, intercompany, fixed assets, and reconciliations
- Identify data needs and align source systems (e.g. ERP, sub-ledgers) with target platform structures
- Work closely with senior finance stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure alignment with reporting and control expectations
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for technical teams
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure optimal use of system capabilities
- Support system configuration, testing, and implementation activities
- Prepare high-quality project documentation, including:
- Functional specifications
- Data mapping and process flows
- Business rules
- Test scenarios
- Propose and implement practical solutions where standard system functionality is not sufficient
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in RTR within finance transformation projects (as SME, Lead, or Business Analyst)
- Professional or academic qualification in Accounting or Finance
- Deep understanding of RTR data structures (e.g. chart of accounts, hierarchies) and their impact on processes and systems
- Experience with finance platforms such as Redwood, BlackLine, Trintech, or FloQast
- Solid knowledge of RTR processes, controls, and reporting requirements
- Understanding of data modelling, data flows, and governance in finance
- Experience working with both business stakeholders and technical teams
- Familiarity with cloud or on-premise systems is an advantage
