Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager with German to lead and oversee the accounts receivable function within an international organization. The role combines people management, operational responsibility, customer account management, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the Accounts Receivable team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee the full accounts receivable and collections process, including invoicing, cash application, reconciliations, and overdue payments.
  • Monitor customer accounts, outstanding balances, and DSO/KPI performance.
  • Lead collection activities and support the team in resolving complex customer payment issues.
  • Maintain relationships with German-speaking customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Handle escalated customer queries, disputes, and payment-related issues.
  • Ensure accurate and timely cash allocation and account reconciliation.
  • Prepare and review AR reports and provide regular performance updates to management.
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and other internal departments to resolve account-related issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve AR processes, automation, and efficiency.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections, or a similar finance function.
  • Previous experience in a team leader or managerial role.
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong knowledge of AR processes, collections, and account reconciliation.
  • Experience working with ERP/finance systems; SAP experience is an advantage.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in an international, fast-paced environment.
