Our client is an international SME-focused bank currently expanding its operations in Poland. As part of its continued growth, the bank is looking for an experienced Trade Finance Operations Expert.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle import and export Letters of Credit from start to finish, including opening, advising clients, checking documents, and processing payments.
- Process bank guarantees, standby guarantees, documentary collections, and other international trade finance transactions.
- Manage international bank-to-bank settlements and reimbursement transactions.
- Process international payments and transfers through correspondent banks accurately and on time.
- Review trade and shipping documents according to international banking standards and regulations.
- Prepare and send SWIFT payment and trade finance messages.
- Use knowledge of international trade and shipping terms when reviewing documents and supporting clients.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in trade finance operations in a Polish or international bank.
- Strong understanding of international trade finance products and processes, including Letters of Credit, bank guarantees, documentary collections, and cross-border payments.
- Experience in checking and analyzing trade documents with strong attention to detail and risk awareness.
- Good knowledge of international trade and shipping terms.
- Fluent English.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly in a growing organization with developing processes.
