QA Engineer

For our Client we are looking for an experienced QA Engineer.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the high quality, reliability, and security of our software applications. You will collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test strategies. You will play a crucial role in building robust test frameworks and promoting quality engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

 

📍 Location: Kraków, hybrid work model – 2 days per week in the office, 3 days remote

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Strategy & Planning: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on user stories, business requirements, and technical specifications
  • Automation Engineering: Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and API testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, RestAssured)
  • Manual & Exploratory Testing: Perform detailed manual, exploratory, and usability testing to identify edge cases, defects, and user experience issues
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using toolsets like Jira. Work closely with development teams to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to facilitate continuous testing and immediate feedback loops
  • Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in all Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives) to advocate for quality and ensure testability of features

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a QA Engineer, Quality Analyst, or in a similar software testing role
  • Automation Skills: Strong experience with test automation frameworks using programming/scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript
  • API Testing: Proficient in testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or code-based libraries
  • Database Proficiency: Solid understanding of relational databases and experience writing SQL queries to verify data integrity
  • Methodology: Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and DevOps culture
  • Tools: Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, and CI/CD tools
  • Fluent English
