Senior Finance Transition & Transformation Manager with German

Senior Finance Transition & Transformation Manager with German

Finance Transition & Transformation Manager with German

We are seeking forexperienced Finance Transition Managers to lead a large-scale Finance transition programme, moving in-scope Finance processes into a Global Business Services (GBS) / Shared Services operating model.
This is a hands-on consulting role, covering the full transition lifecycle — assessment, design, knowledge transfer, parallel run, and stabilisation — for Finance processes such as Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Record-to-Report (R2R) and FP&A.
You will own the end-to-end transition of your assigned Finance process(es), working directly with in-country teams, retained finance functions, and senior stakeholders in Germany.

Key Responsibilities
Finance Transition Leadership & Delivery
• Lead end-to-end transition of in-scope Finance processes (e.g. P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A) from legacy sites/entities into the target GBS/Shared Services model.
• Manage transition planning, knowledge transfer, parallel run, and stabilisation across each in-scope process.
• Own the RAID log for the Finance workstream, resolving issues and escalating risks as needed.
Process & Operating Model Design
• Support the design of standardised, controlled Finance process operating models.
• Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and standardisation opportunities during transition.
• Work with process owners to define target-state controls and SOPs.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
• Act as the primary point of contact for Finance stakeholders in Germany throughout the transition lifecycle.
• Lead workshops, steering updates, and status reporting with senior finance and business stakeholders.
• Build strong working relationships with retained finance teams and, where required, works councils / employee representative bodies.
Project & Governance
• Operate within the programme's governance framework, reporting into the Transition Programme Lead.
• Track milestones, dependencies, and risks across the Finance transition plan.
• Ensure transitions are delivered in a controlled, auditable, and compliant manner.

Key Requirements
• This is a consulting delivery role, not an operational role. Candidates with a purely BAU/operational background (e.g. career shared-service centre operators without transition or transformation delivery experience) will not be considered — we are looking for experienced transition/transformation consultants.
• Proven track record delivering Finance transitions, transformation, or GBS/Shared Services migrations in a consulting or advisory capacity.
• Strong subject-matter expertise across core Finance processes (P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A or similar).
• Fluent German and English (written and spoken) is essential for this role.
• Willing and able to travel to, and work on-site in, Germany for extended periods throughout Phase 2 of the programme.
• Experience managing multi-country, multi-stakeholder transitions.
• Strong project management, RAID, and governance discipline.
• Excellent senior stakeholder management skills; experience engaging German works councils/employee representative bodies is desirable.

Key Skills
• Finance transition and transformation delivery
• GBS/Shared Services migration experience
• Process design and standardisation (P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A)
• Stakeholder and change management
• Fluent German and English
• Project governance and RAID management
