Valuation & Product Control Specialist

Are you interested in financial markets and would like to work closer to complex financial instruments, valuation and trading activities?
We are looking for a Valuation & Product Control Specialist to join an international financial institution and become part of a team responsible for ensuring that financial instruments are valued accurately and consistently.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in Valuation Control, Product Control, Market Risk, IPV or financial markets who would like to further develop their expertise in valuation and gain broader exposure to different asset classes.
What will you be doing?
- Performing independent valuation and price verification of financial instruments
- Analysing market data and investigating valuation differences
- Reviewing pricing models, valuation methodologies and market inputs
- Working with different asset classes, including derivatives and other financial instruments
- Identifying and explaining valuation discrepancies and unusual market movements
- Cooperating closely with Trading, Front Office, Risk, Finance and other stakeholders
- Supporting valuation adjustments and control processes
- Participating in process improvements and automation initiatives
- Developing a deeper understanding of financial markets, products and valuation methodologies
What are we looking for?
- Experience in Valuation Control, Product Control, Market Risk, IPV, Financial Markets or a similar area
- Good understanding of financial instruments and market data
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with numbers
- Very good English
- Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
- Knowledge of derivatives, pricing or valuation methodologies would be a strong advantage
- VBA, Python or SQL knowledge would be an additional asset
- Ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders
