Mid IT Network Engineer
Location: Bydgoszcz, Poland (Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week in the office)
About the Role
As a Mid IT Network Engineer, you will join a global IT Infrastructure Services team responsible for supporting and developing the organization’s networking and security landscape across multiple international locations.
Following the expansion of the Network Team’s responsibilities, this role combines traditional networking expertise with firewall, VPN, proxy, and cloud networking capabilities. You will work closely with infrastructure, security, and project teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable network services across on-premises and cloud environments.
This is a hands-on technical role with strong involvement in project delivery, infrastructure improvements, and ongoing operational support within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, administer, and maintain Cisco-based network infrastructure across global locations.
- Manage and support enterprise firewall solutions, VPN connectivity, and network security policies.
- Administer and troubleshoot proxy solutions to ensure secure internet access and compliance with company standards.
- Support SD-WAN infrastructure and optimize network communication across distributed environments.
- Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot infrastructure logs using tools such as ElasticSearch.
- Participate in network-related projects, infrastructure upgrades, and security initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Security teams on audit findings, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements.
- Support Product Owners and project teams in delivering infrastructure and networking initiatives.
- Contribute to cloud networking solutions within Azure and AWS environments, including routing, segmentation, and connectivity.
- Support Azure WAF administration and related security controls.
- Work with ticketing and service management platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting activities.
- Participate in regular meetings with international teams across EMEA, AMER, and APAC regions.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in Network Engineering, Infrastructure, or a related IT role.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking and security concepts.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Cisco switches and routers
- VLANs, STP, OSPF, and IPsec VPN technologies
- Enterprise firewall solutions
- Proxy technologies
- SD-WAN environments
- CCNA certification or equivalent Cisco networking knowledge.
- Experience with Forcepoint, Check Point, or similar enterprise security platforms.
- Experience analyzing logs and troubleshooting network issues using monitoring and analytical tools such as ElasticSearch.
- Understanding of cloud networking concepts within Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Familiarity with Azure WAF and cloud security best practices.
- Experience working with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms.
