The role

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial leader to establish and manage a corporate banking branch in France. This role offers a unique opportunity to build a business from an early stage while operating within a well-structured international organization.

You will be responsible for driving business growth, managing a local team, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Build, lead and develop the local corporate banking team

  • Execute the commercial strategy and deliver on agreed business targets

  • Identify and acquire new corporate clients while expanding existing relationships

  • Oversee credit processes and participate in lending decisions within delegated authority

  • Manage and grow a high-quality loan portfolio

  • Monitor business performance and implement improvements to drive efficiency and results

  • Ensure high standards of client service and relationship management

  • Control operational costs and ensure effective branch performance

  • Ensure compliance with French regulations, internal policies, and audit standards

  • Represent the branch in interactions with regulators and external institutions

  • Support implementation of risk management and compliance frameworks, including AML

  • Strengthen the organization’s market presence and brand visibility in France

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate banking

  • At least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within international or multi-market structures

  • Strong knowledge of corporate banking products, credit processes, and regulatory environment

  • Proven ability to deliver commercial results and drive business growth

  • Solid leadership and team management experience

  • Strong analytical skills, particularly in credit risk assessment

  • Fluency in French and English (required)

  • High level of autonomy, strong communication and organizational skills

  • Willingness to travel frequently
