Antal is seeking an experienced CRO-level payments specialist to support a strategic client engagement focused on side-payment opportunities, revenue growth, and commercial optimisation.

 

The successful candidate will have operated as a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Commercial Director, or equivalent executive leader and possess demonstrable experience developing, commercialising, or advising on side-payment strategies, payment monetisation initiatives, and revenue growth programmes.

This role requires a combination of executive commercial leadership, deep payments expertise, and the ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders to identify and unlock new revenue opportunities, optimise payment-related commercial models, and provide strategic advice on growth initiatives.

The individual will act as a trusted advisor to client leadership teams, bringing practical experience and industry insight to support key business decisions and transformation opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on revenue growth strategies and commercial optimisation opportunities.
  • Assess and identify side-payment opportunities and associated commercial benefits.
  • Provide expert guidance on payment monetisation models and revenue generation initiatives.
  • Review payment ecosystems, operating models, commercial arrangements, and growth opportunities.
  • Support the development of strategic recommendations, business cases, and implementation plans.
  • Engage with executive stakeholders, including C-suite leaders, commercial teams, and business owners.
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue performance and commercial effectiveness.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and strategic discussions.
  • Provide market insight into payment trends, emerging business models, and industry best practices.
  • Support the client in evaluating opportunities, risks, and implementation considerations.

Required Experience & SkillsEssential

  • Former Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Commercial Director, Revenue Director, or equivalent executive leadership role.
  • Proven track record of delivering significant revenue growth and commercial transformation.
  • Demonstrable experience in side payments, payment monetisation, payment optimisation, or alternative payment models.
  • Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, payment economics, and commercial structures.
  • Experience identifying and implementing new revenue streams and growth opportunities.
  • Strong strategic, commercial, and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience advising senior executives and influencing strategic business decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in a client-facing advisory environment.

Desirable

  • Experience within fintech, banking, payment service providers, or financial services organisations.
  • Experience launching or scaling payment-related products or services.
  • Background in consulting, advisory, or transformation environments.
  • Existing network across payments, fintech, or commercial leadership communities.
  • Experience supporting private equity-backed or high-growth organisations.
