Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Presales Strategy

  • Design, define, and implement presales strategies, concepts, and team set-ups tailored to diverse international market needs.
  • Implement initiatives supporting group and divisional goals, ensuring strong presales contribution to business growth.
  • Benchmark against competitors, identify market shifts, and implement countermeasure concepts.

2. Managing International Presales Activities

  • Full responsibility for all presales activities in defined market areas.
  • Manage, monitor, and report on presales performance across multiple regions.
  • Establish, track, and align presales targets with divisional and business objectives.

3. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and empower presales staff in a multi-dimensional international setup.
  • Develop talent, ensure competence growth, and foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
  • Define team structures, roles, competencies, and long-term capability development.

4. Operational Excellence & Process Management

  • Drive excellence in customer-facing presales processes (solution design, technical support, concept creation).
  • Ensure high-quality documentation, transparency, and process adherence across regions.
  • Align presales processes with sustainability, environmental protection, occupational health, and safety requirements.

5. Communication & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as a strategic internal and external interface across markets, functions, and organizational levels.
  • Influence decisions through structured communication and expert insight.
  • Ensure continuous communication flow with market areas, key accounts, business development, marketing, and product management.

6. Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning

  • Monitor global and regional presales trends, competitor activities, and market best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and contribute to product and solution enhancements.
  • Support technical positioning of solutions through presales expertise.

7. Geographic Responsibility

  • Global coordination.
  • Multi-dimensional international leadership, overseeing several teams and defining structures and roles.
  • Hold broad geographic responsibility, coordinating activities across multiple regions to ensure alignment of standards, processes, and cross-site collaboration.
  • Provide global coordination by connecting international stakeholders and driving consistency across global initiatives.
  • Exercise strategic leadership without direct supervisory authority, influencing outcomes through collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Deliver multi-dimensional international leadership by coordinating several global teams and contributing to the design and refinement of organizational structures, processes, and role definitions to support operational coherence and excellence.

Your Profile

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline.

Professional Experience

  • 10–15 years of experience in presales, project management, or sales-related functions.
  • Several years of leadership experience in sales or presales teams.
  • Strong background in project-based sales environments, ideally within system houses or companies offering architectural or technical solutions.

Essential Expertise & Skills

  • Advanced presales expertise and deep understanding of technical customer requirements.
  • International experience.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and modern presales tools.

Leadership & Analytical Skills

  • Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive presales strategies.
  • Proven ability to influence internal and external stakeholders across different regions.
  • Strong intercultural competence and experience leading global teams.

Communication

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to guide and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

Languages & Travel

  • Fluent in English (required).
  • German or additional languages are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally on a frequent basis (50%+).
