Business Analyst – Trade & Regulatory Reporting (Front-Office)

Business Analyst – Trade & Regulatory Reporting (Front-Office)

About the Role

For our client, a leading global investment bank, we are looking for a Business Analyst to join the Derivatives Clearing Services team.

This is a 100% business-facing (Front-Office) role that does not require deep technical expertise. You will focus on the OTC – Credit/Full Swap Product Development area, specifically driving regulatory reporting initiatives. If you are looking to work directly with corporate clients, traders, and global teams, while having a tangible impact on the value delivered to the business, this position is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and analyze client queries related to the regulatory reporting of their trades.

  • Work closely with the Trade Reporting team, as well as IT, Operations, Front Office, and Sales.

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into viable solutions.

  • Participate in testing new functionalities and fixes provided by IT teams.

  • Manage the backlog and support the prioritization of project tasks.

  • Support the end-to-end transaction/regulatory reporting process (under ESMA, FCA, HKMA regimes).

Requirements (Must-have):

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst (or strong potential and high motivation to transition into this role).

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to quickly learn complex business processes.

  • Strong communication skills with a natural flair for client collaboration.

  • Solid understanding of BA fundamentals: requirements gathering, backlog management, prioritization, IT collaboration, and testing.

  • Hands-on experience with Confluence and Jira.

  • Fluent English (daily work in an international environment).

Nice-to-have:

  • Understanding of OTC derivatives (Rates and Credit) and the Clearing business.

  • Prior experience in Trade/Transaction reporting regulations (ESMA, FCA, HKMA, CFTC, SFTR).

  • Background in an investment banking environment (e.g., UBS, Goldman Sachs, HSBC).

  • Knowledge of FpML and business platforms such as Bloomberg or MarketView.

What We Offer:

  • Direct Business Exposure: A unique opportunity to work closely with traders (including dedicated shadowing/training to understand their daily work) and direct contact with clients.

  • Long-term Perspective: A brand new role designed for stable, long-term growth within the bank's structures.

  • Flexibility: Standard working hours with a highly flexible, task-oriented approach.

  • A fast and efficient recruitment process (consisting of 2 business-focused stages).
