Data Analyst – Data Quality & Controls
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that trading revenue, client rebates, and cash movements are correctly calculated, reviewed, and reconciled. You will work closely with finance and business teams to maintain high data accuracy, strong financial controls, and reliable reporting. This position offers strong exposure to revenue operations, trading activity, and financial data analysis, with opportunities to develop technical skills in SQL, Excel, and data analytics.
Here are some of the things you can look forward to:
- Perform daily revenue control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of trading revenue
- Calculate and validate client rebates, including volume-based rebates
- Reconcile trading revenue between source systems and finance records
- Post and reconcile cash adjustments and resolve discrepancies
- Use SQL and Excel to extract, validate, and analyse large datasets
- Investigate revenue differences and document findings
- Support month-end closing and reporting activities
- Contribute to process improvements and better data quality
Requirements:
- Strong experience in SQL (advanced level, including complex queries)
- Advanced Excel skills (data analysis and reconciliations)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and control mindset
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Python is a plus
