The Role
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial leader to establish and manage a corporate banking branch in one of the following locations: Amsterdam, Paris, or Milan. This is a unique opportunity to build a business from an early stage, while operating within a well-structured international organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth, managing a local team, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will have the chance to shape the future of the branch and strengthen the organization’s market presence.
- Build and Lead the local corporate banking team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Execute the Commercial Strategy to deliver on business targets and contribute to the overall success of the branch.
- Identify and Acquire New Clients while expanding existing relationships, establishing strong partnerships with corporate clients.
- Oversee Credit Processes and participate in lending decisions within delegated authority.
- Manage and Grow the Loan Portfolio, ensuring high-quality loan performance and sustainable growth.
- Monitor Business Performance, identifying areas for improvement to drive efficiency and achieve results.
- Ensure High Standards of Client Service by developing strong relationships and meeting the needs of clients.
- Control Operational Costs to ensure effective branch performance and profitability.
- Ensure Compliance with local regulations, internal policies, and audit standards.
- Represent the Branch in interactions with regulators and external institutions, ensuring transparency and regulatory adherence.
- Support Risk Management and Compliance frameworks, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols.
- Strengthen the Organization’s Market Presence, raising brand visibility within the corporate banking sector.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate banking, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
- At least 5 years in a leadership position ideally within international or multi-market structures.
- Strong knowledge of corporate banking products, credit processes, and regulatory environment.
- Proven ability to deliver commercial results and drive business growth within a corporate banking context.
- Solid leadership and team management experience, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in credit risk assessment and financial analysis.
- Fluency in French/Italian/Dutch and English (required).
- High level of autonomy with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.
