Senior Risk Officer, Business Risk Frameworks

Our client is a leading international banking organization that is currently strengthening and expanding its 1st Line of Defence structures in Poland. This growth reflects a strong commitment to robust risk management and operational excellence.

We are looking for an experienced Risk Professional to join a central Business Risk Frameworks team. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with risk frameworks and tools, while contributing to the development of modern, efficient risk management practices in a regulated environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures supporting the first line of defence.
  • Support the implementation of new technologies, including AI and automation, within risk management tools and processes.
  • Ensure risk frameworks remain aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Improve ways of working by developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and risk tools.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and promote best practices.
  • Support training initiatives and provide guidance to colleagues on risk frameworks and tools.
  • Cooperate closely with risk teams and business stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of frameworks.
  • Monitor regulatory and organizational changes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Our Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in non-financial risk management, preferably in controls and frameworks.
  • Practical knowledge of first line of defence risk frameworks, controls, and tools.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to non-financial risk.
  • Interest in technology and its application to risk management (AI, automation, digital tools).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Very good communication skills and ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to continuously develop professional skills.
