Payroll Lead/ Project Manager with German

Payroll Transformation Manager with German - fully remote from Poland

 

This role requires hands-on involvement in end-to-end payroll operations and the full lifecycle of payroll transformation initiatives, including feasibility, process design, and implementation of payroll improvements.

You will work closely with HR, Finance, and external providers to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll services.

 

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Operations & Compliance

· Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local legislation.

· Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll data integrity.

· Resolve payroll queries and discrepancies efficiently.

Payroll Transformation & Transition

· Support payroll transformation initiatives within Shared Services or GBS environments.

· Contribute to payroll process redesign, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Participate in payroll system implementations, upgrades, or migrations (transition and stabilisation).

Project & Programme Support

· Assist in payroll project governance, tracking, and reporting.

· Support workstreams within payroll transformation projects, including feasibility, design, and implementation.

Stakeholder Engagement

· Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Operations) and external providers.

· Communicate changes, improvements, and updates effectively across the business.

 

Key Requirements

· Proven experience in payroll operations or payroll processing, ideally within Shared Services, GBS, or outsourced environments.

· Strong knowledge of payroll systems, compliance, and reporting requirements.

· Experience in payroll transformation or transition projects (feasibility, design, implementation).

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

· Ability to work in fast-paced, consulting or transformation-driven environments.

· Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.

· Strong communicative English & German skills
