Our client is a reputable financial institution specializing in corporate banking, currently expanding its international operations. The role

We are looking for a senior professional to lead the development and management of a corporate banking branch in Italy. This role combines strategic business development with operational leadership and regulatory responsibility.

You will be instrumental in building the local franchise and driving long-term, sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the corporate banking team in Italy

  • Drive execution of the branch’s commercial and growth strategy

  • Acquire new clients and strengthen relationships with existing corporate customers

  • Oversee credit processes and contribute to lending decisions

  • Build and manage a high-quality loan portfolio aligned with growth targets

  • Analyze performance and implement actions to improve business outcomes

  • Ensure excellent client service standards

  • Manage operational costs and branch efficiency

  • Ensure compliance with Italian regulations and internal governance frameworks

  • Represent the organization in front of external stakeholders and institutions

  • Support implementation of risk management, compliance, and AML standards

  • Contribute to brand building and market positioning in Italy

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate banking

  • At least 5 years in a managerial role, preferably in international environments

  • Strong understanding of corporate banking products and credit processes

  • Proven track record in achieving business targets and driving growth

  • Experience in leading and developing teams

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills

  • Fluency in Italian and English (required)

  • High level of independence, strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Availability for frequent business travel
